Good day Sir, so cross stick is the tapping of the stick on the rim? does it sound better when the stick is upside down? I noticed in your covers that you sometimes hold your stick upside down like in the song “She Will be Loved” and in “Me and My Monkey”, but in the “Ode to my Family” cover, you hold the stick in normal way ( sorry, I’m not sure what’s the right term in holding sticks ) So when should be the drummer use the stick upside down? Sorry, I’m just curious, Thank you so much Sir čÖé

Hi Jasmin,

did you try the different way to play the cross stick ? Which one do you prefer ?

Hello Sir,

I tried both, and there’s a difference in sound. In my observation, when the stick is upside down, it gives you higher pitch than in the normal way of holding the sticks (oh but please, correct me if I am wrong čÖé ). So I think, drummers should hold the sticks depending on the song. čÖé
