François Piriou

Professional bass player for more than 15 years. Self-taught, he made his first concerts in various formations rock, even punk. He turned to Jazz and Afro-Cuban music when he studied at American School of Modern Music and ARPEJ in Paris.
He currently plays in projects ranging from Colombian Cumbia to rockabilly, ska or latin jazz. with a pedagogical reflection on the "world bass", he transmits his knowledge and experience during orchestral courses or orchestral workshops throughout the year.
He also plays the double bass and the trombone.
